Operations Coordinator – Newport Lamp & Shade Company

Newport Lamp & Shade Company is a luxury lighting website and showroom that serves design minded consumers and interior design professionals nationwide.

Position Overview

The Operations Coordinator plays a key role in ensuring the smooth daily functioning of Newport Lamp & Shade Company’s operations. This position is responsible for processing and fulfilling online orders, coordinating with vendors for drop-ship orders, managing shipping from the showroom, responding to customer inquiries about order status, and supporting the Sales Director with showroom operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Process online orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring timely fulfillment.
• Liaise with vendors to coordinate and track drop-ship orders.
• Manage and process all inbound and outbound shipments
• Respond promptly to customer requests regarding order status and shipping updates.
• Assist the Sales Director with daily showroom operations, including inventory management and merchandising.
• Maintain organized documentation for all orders, shipments, and vendor communications.
• Support administrative tasks such as scheduling, record-keeping, and supply management as needed.
• Foster strong relationships with vendors, customers, and internal team members to ensure seamless operations

Job Requirements

• Previous experience in operations coordination, retail, or administrative support preferred.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proficiency with order management systems and basic office software.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
• Must be able to lift 30 lbs and ready to get your hands dirty when necessary. Ability to lift 30 lbs.
• Must be flexible and able to pivot from customer facing roles to operations duties

Job Details

Salaried Position, approx 40 hours per week in-person.

Hybrid / Part-time remote work setup negotiable.

$45,000 - $55,000 per year, commensurate with experience
