Newport Lamp & Shade Company, a luxury lighting and home furnishings shop, is looking for an energetic, design-minded sales associate to join their fast-paced operation.

We are a small team operating a busy hybrid business (brick & mortar and online) that serves customers both in-person and remotely, all across the country. The ideal person for this job has a professional and polished demeanor to compliment their positive, can-do attitude and is ready to tackle any job - from instagram messaging and inventory management, to opening boxes and shipping orders. We do not stand around. Be ready to stay focused and handle a wide range of tasks each day. Some experience in high-end retail or decorative arts is necessary.

Job Requirements

• Strong Computer skills including Google Docs & Shopify
• Strong Social Media skills including Instagram, Facebook
• Ability to Prioritize and Multi-task
• Excellent follow through and client services skills
• Energetic and detail oriented
• Possess a positive and flexible can-do attitude
• Must be able to lift 30 lbs and ready to get your hands dirty
• Passion for and knowledge of interior design

Schedule: 3 days per week during shop hours: Tuesday - Saturday, 9 AM to 5 PM

*must be available two Saturday's per month

Rate: $21 to $35 / hour commensurate with experience + additional performance based compensation and benefits.
