An Evening of Inspiration

Last Friday, Newport Lamp & Shade Company and These Entertaining People co-hosted “An Evening of Inspiration,” an intimate event for a select group of designers. The evening began at The Newport Show Gala Preview Party, hhe ld at St. George’s School —a renowned highlight on Newport’s summer calendar that celebrates fine art, antiques, and exquisite objects, all benefitting the Newport Historical Society and the Boys & Girls Clubs of Newport County. Newport Lamp & Shade Company has been a supporting sponsor of the preview party for a number of years.

After exploring the show’s stunning collections and enjoying the lively atmosphere of the gala, guests continued their evening at the Sky Bar atop The Clarke Cooke House. Over dinner, the group exchanged creative ideas and reflected on the unique exhibitions and inspiring presentations from the show, all while soaking in panoramic views of Newport’s harbor.
