Emmett brings a refined design vocabulary and years of experience in the apparel industry to his role at Newport Lamp & Shade Company. Known for his effortless rapport with clients and his keen appreciation for objects with character, he blends style and storytelling in every interaction. His humor and enthusiasm make the showroom a lively, welcoming space.

Our current Operation Coordinator, Sydney, is moving on to new adventures in a new city - we will miss her! We are currently hiring for a new part-time Operations Coordinator to assist behind the scenes with shipping & receiving and showroom operations.

Caroline brings a thoughtful, detail‑oriented approach to every client interaction at Newport Lamp & Shade Company. Her energetic and cheerful disposition helps ensure that each step—from first inquiry to final delivery—feels pleasant, organized, and genuinely tailored to the client’s needs.

Deborah supports our customers behind the scenes, helping ensure orders are updated accurately and communication is clear at every step. She brings a consistently positive attitude to each interaction, keeping details organized and customers informed. She loves turning potential stress points into smooth, simple experiences—preferably with a Diet Coke close at hand.

Filament is a three-year-old Havanese who takes her role as Head of HR very seriously, greeting team members and visitors with boundless enthusiasm. She brings high energy and a strong commitment to “getting to know” everyone who walks through the door. Her favorite part of the job is making the showroom feel warm, lively, and just a bit chaotic in the best way.
