The Torca Lamp Bases are a re-imagination of the classic column lamp. Displaying an elegant spiral relief, the bases are a contemporary take on a traditional silhouette. Handmade by expert ceramicists in Portugal, the lamp bases designed for the Comporta Collection encapsulate one of the most significant and historical crafts of the country – ceramics. Portugal’s history with ceramic production goes back centuries, and with skills passed down through family generations, the country is known for its distinctive ceramic tiles coating the outside of buildings.
