Designer Spotlight: Catharine Willmer Interiors

Catharine Willmer is the founder of Catharine Willmer Interiors, a full-service interior design firm specializing in residential and hospitality projects. Her design approach combines timeless elegance with a fresh perspective, blending antiques with new elements, textures, and colors to create inviting and well-loved spaces.

We have had the pleasure of getting to know Catharine in and out of the shop - she is such is a joy to be around and of course, has fabulous style. Her design talents were recently showcased at her table for the Naples Tables Event, a two day design event and fundraiser for over 30 organizations in Southwest Florida through The League Club Naples.  Learn more about Catharine below, follow her on instagram, and visit her website for even more inspiration.

Catharine, a former designer at Melanie Turner Interiors in Atlanta and Scott Sanders in New York, went on to launch her eponymous firm. Catharine holds a BA in Art History from Trinity College and a MFA in Interior Design from Savannah College of Art and Design.

Along with her design experience, Catharine also has an extensive merchandising and product development background. She began her career at J. McLaughlin where she worked at the corporate office for almost a decade. She later went on to combine her passion for design and visual storytelling as an ecommerce merchandising manager at Chairish Inc.

Catharine’s style is timeless and classic. She enjoys the juxtaposition of mixing antiques with new, various patterns, textures and colors, and has a keen eye for scale as well as detail. Catharine believes nothing in the home should be too precious and is inspired by creating spaces that are inviting, lived in, and well loved by her clients.

Catharine enjoys spending time with her husband James, two young children, and their mini Australian shepherd Madison. Having grown up in Rhode Island, Catharine enjoys combining her New England coastal aesthetic with the lush tropical environment of South Florida in a style that is entirely fresh and original.
