Lampshade Care
A few tips and suggestions on how to care for your lampshades. We always advise proceeding with caution and never use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
Regular Dusting
Gently dust your lampshade using a microfiber cloth, a disposable duster, or very gently with the upholstery attachment on a vacuum. For pleated shades, use a clean, soft-bristled paintbrush to reach crevices
Fabric Lampshades
Most shades, especially those with glued, sewn or delicate finishes, should not be soaked. Spot cleaning with a mild, diluted solution such as dawn or wool lite can be successful. Proceed with caution - test a small spot first to avoid damage or discoloration.
Paper & Parchment Lampshades
Handle with care to avoid oil stains. Use a dry microfiber cloth for dusting and a gentle art gum eraser to remove small stains
